Plot Synopsis
Used-car salseman Richard 'Fitz' Fitzpatrick is addicted to sex, drugs and finding anyway to close a sale -- especially with female customers at his father's auto dealership. During one test drive with client Barbara Devon, the car flips and she ends up in a coma. While Fitz tries covering up his involvement in the accident, he must contend with Kara, the fearless leader of a pack of Junior Survivalists who chance upon Fitz's accident, and Ali Devon, Barbara's lawyer daughter who wants to put Fitz away but just might fall for him instead. As if that's not enough, at his job Fitz has to endure a gratingly upbeat new colleague named Larry, who knows way too much about him because Larry is really the embodiment of his conscience, looking to reform his life. In Season 2, Fitz loses the car dealership to the Ruptals and renovates his own nightclub, the Summer Wind Lounge, but when Season 3 opens, he's forced to shut it down on opening night. Shortly after an incident at the shuttered nightclub, Fitz decides to run for public office and go after Chester Vince, but when Fitz becomes City Councilor, he learns that he doesn't have the power to do very much. Instead, he tries to find other ways to re-open his bar, ends up in jail, and then tries one last time to get back his dealership before his son is born. DirecTV's Channel 101 aired the U.S. premiere of the series on Thursday, April 21, 2011 at 9pm ET.
