Plot Synopsis

CALIFORNIA LIFE is a half-hour reality series that follows people searching for homes in regions of California that typify life in The Golden State. In addition to highlighting potential homes, the series also explores the restaurants and sites of the city. On Thursday, May 23, 2019 at 9:30pm ET/PT, HGTV premiered the series pilot, but the cable channel had no other episodes on its schedule at that time. In the pilot, "Family Adventures in Santa Cruz," an adventurous couple is ready to leave England and surf across the pond to sunny Santa Cruz, California, where they can embrace a healthier, more active lifestyle. With two young kids and a dog, they're searching for a home in a quiet neighborhood with a good yard and access to the beach.
