Plot Synopsis

CABIN RESCUE is a half-hour reality series that follows log-cabin engineer Alex Charvat, who is called in to restore historic cabins. On Tuesday, October 18, 2016 at 8pm ET/PT, GAC premiered the pilot, but the cable channel had no other episodes on its schedule at that time. In the pilot, "1870 Cabin Renovation," Alex restores a cabin in Conifer, Colorado, transforming it into an Old West saloon for entertaining. Using materials from the property, Alex and the owner, Dale, attempt to refashion the logs with the same tools used by the original homesteaders in 1870. Will the effort to eliminate the roof rafters in favor of one large log ridge beam backfire on Alex and Dale when they realize it's too heavy to lift by hand?
