Plot Synopsis
Based on the series of children's books of the same name, BUNNICULA is a 15-minute animated series that tells the tales of a vampire rabbit that sucks juice out of vegetables...but doesn't realize that he's scary. The story opens when teen Mina moves to New Orleans with her father and their pets -- cat Chester and dumb dog Harold. When they arrive, Mina uses a key left by her aunt to open a door to a cellar crypt, allowing the cute bunny on the other side to escape. Mina thinks she just has a new pet, but she doesn't realize that her little rabbit is really a vampire bunny that works with her other pets to protect her from supernatural beings that are all around her. Each quarter-hour episode features a different story, including: a mummified monkey, which is released into the apartments where Mina lives, when Chester takes Mina's key so he can lock the rabbit back in the cellar crypt; and a magical harmonica that attracts zombie fish to the Orlock apartments. For the series premiere Cartoon Network debuted back-to-back new episodes on Saturday, February 6, 2016 from 9:30-10am ET/PT, with Boomerang showing an encore presentation at 6:30pm later the same day.
