Plot Synopsis

Created by Carlos Montero, BREATHLESS is a one-hour hospital drama series that centers on the medical staff at Joaquin Sorolla Hospital in Valencia, Spain, where a medical team is close to breakdown, there are threats of a general strike, patients are in need of care, and the conditions are anything but easy. All the promises doctors make when undertaking their duties are brought together in the Hippocratic Oath, but will they be able to uphold them when they are pushed to their limits? While public health is at stake, this medical team tries to save lives and survive the stresses of their own lives, which are at major crossroads. At the head of the hospital are Dr. Jessica Donoso, Dr. Biel De Felipe, Dr. Pilar Amaro, Dr. Nestor Moa and director Lluis, who are key to treating a serious illness for Patricia Segura, the president of the Valencian community. All eight one-hour episodes of BREATHLESS dropped on Friday, August 30, 2024 on Netflix.
