Plot Synopsis

After battling debilitating illnesses that left her out of the spotlight, Toni Braxton was looking to regain her status in the industry by turning to her mother, Evelyn, and her sisters: Traci, Towanda, Trina, and Tamar. As Traci dreamed of rejoining her famous sister on stage as a background singer, Tamar wanted nothing to do with the background. She wanted to be front and center and wasn't afraid to let everyone know that doo-whoppin for Toni was not what she needed. Towanda wanted nothing more than to escape life as Toni's assistant, but Toni didn't seem ready to give her up and shunned any new assistant. Trina wanted to be respected for her choices as a musician, even if that included performing with a cover-band, but her sisters couldn't believe that made her happy and made fun of her for it. Plus, Toni dealt with her bankruptcy problems.

Season 3, which premiered on Thursday, March 14, 2013 at 9pm ET/PT on WE tv, followed the Braxton sisters as Toni pursued her acting career, Trina continued with her music career while working on her marriage, Towanda was still a super mom while looking out for her own needs, Traci grew tired of being the wannabe, and Tamar released a single, "Love and War," that went to #1 on iTunes.

BRAXTON FAMILY VALUES returned for its fourth season on Thursday, August 14, 2014 at 9pm ET/PT. When viewers last left the Braxton sisters, the ladies agreed to leave their differences behind them and move forward with their lifelong dream of recording a Braxton Family album together. However, old feelings quickly resurface. Season 4 opens with the whole family gathering to catch Toni's opening night on Broadway and celebrate Tamar's 37th birthday. But Toni skips Tamar's birthday party in favor of resting up for opening night, and Tamar is disappointed. The feuds continue to escalate during the New York trip, until Towanda reaches her breaking point, and her epic meltdown leaves the rest of the family dumbfounded. They realize that before they can work on a family album, they must first figure out how to be in the same room together. On Thursday, May 21, 2014 at 9pm ET/PT, WEtv debuted the show's Season 4 Spring premiere. In this new episode, "Go for the Jugular!," the sisters still have unresolved issues, but they reunite after finding out their mom needs surgery. Trina secretly files for divorce but doesn't want to tell the sisters, and Traci's son reveals he's engaged.

Season 5 of BRAXTON FAMILY VALUES premiered on Thursday, May 19, 2016 at 9pm ET/PT on WEtv, immediately following an all-day marathon (10am-9pm) marathon of encore episodes. In the season opener, "Not My Momma!," Evelyn suffers a stroke, leading the sisters to fight about their mother. Later, Traci has a health scare of her own. After a seven-month break, BRAXTON FAMILY VALUES returned with new Season 5 episodes on Thursday, March 16, 2017 at 9pm ET/PT on WEtv. Rumors of marital troubles between Tamar and Vince are making headlines, and the couple discusses the possibility of having another baby, which leaves the sisters confused and concerned. Toni, on the other hand, is enjoying the budding of a new love - and is finally ready to take her relationship public! For the first time in years, the notoriously private superstar is opening up about the new man in her life, Birdman. Towanda files for divorce from Andre and swears this time there is no turning back. The seemingly amicable divorce takes a turn for the worse, though, when Andre petitions for full custody of the children. Could the rumors of a new man in Towanda's life be the reason behind Andre's change of heart? Meanwhile, Trina is continuing to grow her business but when she asks her sisters to help taste test her new menu, things explode as Trina and Tamar come to blows leaving Towanda left to play peacemaker. Traci becomes a spokeswoman for a new line of Vodka and is continuing to work on a solo album. She's also attempting the resolve past issues with sister Tamar however things between them come to a head. Will these two finally put their issues to rest?

Season 6 of BRAXTON FAMILY VALUES premiered on Thursday, March 22, 2018 at 9pm ET/PT on WEtv. In the season opener, "The Duchess & the Divorce," the Braxtons are stunned by news of Tamar's divorce, Traci reveals her secret, and Tamar storms out. In the rest of the season, Tamar's sisters speak out on her divorce and Toni's big announcement has the sisters vying for a position. While Traci shared her shocking baby news and Towanda takes legal action, Trina's hot new love life kicks into gear and secrets are revealed when Evelyn dishes to the press! After a three-month break, BRAXTON FAMILY VALUES returned with new episodes on Thursday, August 16, 2018 at 9pm ET/PT on WE tv. In the summer premiere, "Toni-Zilla," Toni's wedding is in jeopardy; the sisters confront Traci about facing her unresolved issues; a family rift turns into an avalanche of emotions; the Braxtons shock all with a dramatic turn of events. On Thursday, April 4, 2018 at 9pm ET/PT on WE tv, BRAXTON FAMILY VALUES returned with new episodes. In the Season 6 return, Toni has the family guessing whether she and Birdman split up? Did they get back together? Tamar is ready for new beginnings as she has a new man in her life and makes history winning CELEBRITY BIG BROTHER. Meanwhile, Traci opens for Tamar on tour and is defensive of her sister, Toni when it comes to her relationship. Towanda finally reveals her secret boyfriend and to her sisters' surprise, it's a familiar face. Evelyn launches a new business venture and cookbook to her daughters' delight, featuring "Buffins." Trina and boyfriend Von are ready to take their relationship to the next level however Trina receives tragic and devastating news forcing the couple to take a pause. In the spring premiere, "A New Beginning?," after an emotional family healing retreat, the Braxtons work to repair their fractured sisterhood.

BRAXTON FAMILY VALUES returned for its seventh season on Thursday, November 5, 2020 at 9pm ET/PT on WE tv. After a tumultuous trip to Napa, the sisters reunite to support Trina before her wedding. But in a dramatic turn, the ceremony kicks off with an unexpected issue that divides the family. Following a year of love & loss, can the Braxtons come together and find their harmony once again? In the season opener, "Bachelorette Braxton Style," Tamar has a serious health scare, Towanda throws a bachelorette party for Trina, and Toni has a photo shoot for her new album.

On Thursday, December 17, 2020 at 9pm ET/PT, WE tv premiered "Sister Staycation," the Season 7 finale of BRAXTON FAMILY VALUES. Toni's latest single debuts in time for a birthday party; the sisters and Ms. E are quarantining with surprises at the house; Sean asks Towanda an important question after she takes care of the last hurdle that had prevented him from popping the question.
