Plot Synopsis

Brad Meltzer investigates missing items that are historically important for the United States, while encouraging viewers to submit tips to an online site for unsolved cases, in an effort to provide key information leading to the return of these treasures. Plus, Brad presents success stories where Americans have helped find missing historic objects, and he updates and revises his "Top 10 Most Wanted Missing Artifacts," which is just a small sampling of the tens of thousands of historical treasures that have been lost or stolen. In the premiere episode, Brad puts the spotlight on the famous Ground Zero Flag from 9/11 that was hoisted over the wreckage of the Twin Towers, and captured in an iconic photograph. The original flag went missing some time after it was raised, and its whereabouts are unfortunately unknown. Also featured in the premiere episode is Harry Truman's jewel-encrusted sword collection that was stolen from his Presidential Library in Missouri in a daring heist in broad daylight, as well as the legendary Thompson machine gun that American gangster and bank robber John Dillinger stole during his infamous jail break.

Also: brand new stories including FDR's missing inaugural address, and the mysterious case of the 'w' keys that go missing from the White House's computer keyboards.
