Plot Synopsis
Based on Michael Connelly's book series, BOSCH follows relentless LAPD homicide detective Harry Bosch, who is on trial for the fatal shooting of a serial murder suspect, while he and his partner, J. Edgar, pursue promising leads on the job in the bones murder case. Season 1 of BOSCH focuses on the "City of Bones" novel, the eighth book featuring Bosch, but weaves together stories from multiple books. BOSCH returned for its second season on Friday, March 11, 2016 at 3:01am ET/12:01am PT, as Amazon released all 10 episodes of the second season. In the season opener, "Trunk Music," Bosch is back on the job after a suspension. When a dead body found in the trunk of a car on Mulholland Drive appears to have mob connections, Bosch takes on a case that could prove his biggest challenge yet. Meanwhile, George Irving has a new assignment in a plainclothes position, and Deputy Chief Irving weighs his options while trying to stay above the political fray.

Angered by the truths behind his mother's murder, LAPD detective Harry Bosch struggles to find integrity in an imperfect justice system. The killing of a homeless veteran, the suicide of a serial killing suspect, and the high-profile murder trial of a Hollywood director pit Bosch against ruthless opponents who all threaten to destroy him. In the season opener, "The Smog Cutter," the ugly truth behind his mother's murder has left LAPD homicide detective Harry Bosch as tense and restless as ever. A homeless veteran is murdered. Bosch works a high-profile trial involving a Hollywood director. The Veronica Allen proceeding nears resolution. Bosch keeps tabs on a longtime criminal who's eluded justice.

Bosch must pursue every lead, even if it turns the spotlight back on his own department. One murder intertwines with another, and Bosch must reconcile his past to find a justice that has long eluded him. The season opens three months after he discovered a startling new lead, and Det. Harry Bosch is still pursuing the truth behind his mother's cold case. A murder of a high-profile attorney puts the city on edge so Chief Irvin Irving creates a Task Force with Bosch in charge. Bosch must contend with two former adversaries.

Harry Bosch learns the DA's office is examining new evidence which threatens to overturn an old case, potentially jeopardizing all of Bosch's other convictions.
