Plot Synopsis
Dr. Megan Hunt becomes a medical examiner after a devastating car accident puts an end to her time in the operating room as a brilliant neurosurgeon. Now, she's determined to solve the puzzle of who or what killed the victims, using her sharp instincts and by graying the lines of where her job ends and where the police department's begins. As she rebuilds her career, she also realizes she has to repair her relationships with her family, who she neglected for so long. Season 3 started with a two-part episode premiering on Tuesday, February 19, 2013 at 10pm ET, as Megan, Tommy and their respective colleagues worked to chase down killers before they killed again. And with each passing case, as the tension between Megan and Tommy evolved into mutual respect and even hinted at their old personal attraction, Megan started to wonder if she should risk opening herself up to this man again. The answer will come as they tackle the biggest case of Megan's career -- indeed the biggest mystery of Megan's entire life: Did her father really commit suicide, or was he murdered?
