Plot Synopsis

Created by Charley Parlapanides and Vlas Parlapanides, BLOOD OF ZEUS is a half-hour animated series that follows Heron, a commoner living in ancient Greece, who discovers his true heritage as a son of Zeus, and his purpose: to save the world from a demonic army. The story opens with demons attacking the polis near the home of the outcast Heron, who finds allies in the wise elder Elias and the fierce Amazonian warrior Alexia. After he completes a quest for adamantine ore, Heron learns the truth about his birth from his mother Electra, as well as the identity of his father. The goddess Hera discovers the existence of Zeus's bastard son Heron and vows revenge. The polis falls to the forces of the malevolent Seraphim. Netflix released the entire eight-episode first season of BLOOD OF ZEUS on Tuesday, October 27, 2020 at 3:01am ET/12:01am PT.

Season 2 of BLOOD OF ZEUS premiered on Friday, May 10, 2024 on Netflix, which released all eight episodes of the new season. To escape the Underworld forever, Hades crafts a plan to claim Zeus's crown for himself and reunite with his beloved Persephone as ruler of Olympus. In the season opener, "A Shadow Emerges," Hades plots to steal a powerful stone from Zeus's temple while the battle for Olympus rages. Gaia sets Heron on a quest to save a former adversary.
