Plot Synopsis
Using re-enactments and interviews with journalists, police, investigators and legal experts, BLOOD, LIES & ALIBIS tracks criminal investigators as they unravel the stories behind cold-blooded killings, showing how detectives and district attorneys deliver justice with the help of forensic evidence, old fashioned legwork, and years of dogged determination. Each 60-minute episode focuses on a single case, including: "The Poughkeepsie Killer," which tells the story of Kendall Francois, a john who frequented the Poughkeepsie, NY streets where he lived and picked up and murdered eight prostitutes -- only to be discovered when the would-be ninth victim escaped and reported him to police; "The Perverted Preacher," which recounts how preacher Anthony Hopkins killed his wife, Arletha, during a December 2004 argument after she learned he was abusing his stepdaughter -- and then he made the girl buy her mother's body before transferring it to a freezer; "The Wood-chipper Killer," which tracks how police caught Richard Crafts, who was convicted of murder even though the prosecution was unable to produce a body -- because he disposed of his wife's body in a wood chipper; "The Love Slave Murders," which reveals how Gerald Gallego, son of a convicted killer, and his wife, Charlene, raped and murdered ten people -- mostly young women -- across the western United States between 1978 and 1980; "The Killing Cousins," which shows how David Alan Gore was discovered with a teenager's body in the trunk of a car, and how he confessed to five other murders, implicating his cousin, Fred Waterfield; and many more crimes. BLOOD, LIES & ALIBIS returned for its second season on Monday, July 1, 2013 at 10pm ET/PT.
