Plot Synopsis
Based on Carl Weber's novel of the same name, this four-part scripted drama series that's set in the quaint town of Sag Harbor, known as "The Black Hamptons," in Long Island, NY. From luxury communities to historic beachfront enclaves, this epic story will follow the brewing feud between the Brittons and the Johnsons, where the difference between old and new money is very apparent -- especially when they both vie for the same property: the coveted Peterson Property. Carolyn Britton pulls out all of the stops when she engages the help of her estranged daughter-in-law to break up the Johnson's marriage. However, Anthony Johnson has a trick up his own sleeve. The series not only features the glitz and gloss of the Black elite but also exposes the underbelly of wealth and prestige. With a mix of legacy families thriving for generations, friends, wannabes, and thirsty developers, drama can never be too far behind. CARL WEBER'S THE BLACK HAMPTONS premiered on Thursday, August 25, 2022, as BET+ released the first two episodes. CARL WEBER'S THE BLACK HAMPTONS made its linear television debut on Wednesday, September 21, 2022 at 10pm ET/PT on BET, with a simulcast on BET Her.
Season 2 of CARL WEBER'S THE BLACK HAMPTONS debuted two episodes on Thursday, December 7, 2023 on BET+. The Brittons and the Johnsons are back and the feuds are bigger than ever as they realize that the confusion amongst themselves is just the tip of the iceberg. A new threat looms over the Black Hamptons that could destroy everything they have built. In the season opener, "Picture Perfect," a bidding war ensues at the annual charity art auction, Anthony and Vanessa keep their business relationship close to the vest, and Carolyn and Christopher mix business with pleasure. Then, in the second episode, "Trouble in Paradise," Sergeant Lane gets a visit from Bobby "the Beast" Boyd and a top boxing promoter, Sydney confronts Vanessa, and Anthony and Michael are warned about doing business with Alexander Cora. On Wednesday, March 20, 2024, BET and BET Her aired the linear television debut of CARL WEBER'S THE BLACK HAMPTONS' second season.
