Plot Synopsis

Created and written by Robert & Michelle King, THE BITE is a six-episode drama series that follows the lives of two neighbors Rachel and Lily, as they embark on unprecedented times when a deadly new strain of a virus arrives. Navigating the new normal in New York City, Rachel works from home juggling her many telemedicine clients and a shaky marriage to her husband Dr. Zach who has a prestigious job at the CDC miles away in Washington D.C. Meanwhile, Lily is upstairs trying to convince her Wall Street clientele that her very specific skillset is still just as valuable through a video screen as it was in person. All six episodes dropped on Spectrum On Demand on Friday, May 21, 2021:

"First Wave": While conducting telehealth appointments from her New York City brownstone, Rachel tends to one of her patients with an odd injury; meanwhile, upstairs, Lily finds herself in a risky position with one of her clients.

"Second Wave": As Lily figures out what to do with her dangerous client, Rachel attempts to gather evidence from various patients to present to her husband, Zach, who works at the CDC.

"Third Wave": With circumstance becoming dire, Rachel attempts to coax confidential CDC information from Zach. Upstairs, Lily tries to continue pursuing her career dreams despite the chaos.

"Fourth Wave": Rachel continues to seek any helpful information regarding the virus, while also managing an alarming situation in Lily's life; meanwhile, Zach is under scrutiny at the CDC.

"Fifth Wave": In order to further her mother's medical research into a cure, Rachel enlists Lily's help with an important task; meanwhile, Zach learns surprising information.

"Sixth Wave": In a race against time, Rachel and Lily are forced to make a decision that could alter their lives in order to save humanity.
