Plot Synopsis
BITCHIN' RIDES is a one-hour reality series that follows Dave Kindig and his crew at Kindig-It Design in Salt Lake City, as they turn out one-of-a-kind vehicles for his demanding (and sometimes famous) clientele. Dave started drawing cars and playing with hot wheels as a young child, and turned that passion for cars into a thriving business. Using his imagination and sense of style, Dave's shop produces some of North America's most beautiful hot rods and customs. In this series, viewers see Dave and his team of 26 specialists work on all types and periods of cars in his sprawling 27,000-square foot business, as they render, design, build and restore vehicles from the ground up before revealing them to their owners. Each 60-minute episode features up to three vehicles, including: a '34 Dodge, which arrives with a leaky fuel line and tricky roof build; a '67 Impala arrives needing an exhaust upgrade; a '48 Ford Pickup; a '69 Camaro that needs a new suspension; a '53 Ford Pickup; a '65 GTO; an Audi R8 Spyder that belongs to former NFL tight end Chad Lewis; a '78 Trans Am; a '70 Challenger; a '27 Zipper that needs AC; a '37 Chevy; a '53 Chevy that will be transformed into a modern hotrod; a Ford Kraken; a '65 Ford Galaxie; a '33 Ford Tudor that needs a paint match and interior/exterior refreshes; a '55 Bel Air; a '50 Fleetside; a '72 Barracuda; a '39 GM Parade of Progress Futurliner; and many more, including cars that Dave preps for auto shows and those builds he reminisces about.
BITCHIN' RIDES returned for its second season on Tuesday, September 29, 2015 at 9pm ET/PT on Velocity. In the season opener, "Baby Needs a New Pair of Shoes," Dave has his hands full trying to locate and build a 1959 Buick Invicta. This build pushes the shop to the max & back, and even to a Foundry straight out of medieval times. Double trouble comes in the form of twin 2014 Audis looking for some styling cues.
Season 3 of BITCHIN' RIDES premiered on Tuesday, October 11, 2016 from 9-11pm ET/PT, as Velocity debuted back-to-back new episodes, featuring a 1952 Pontiac with strange things lurking beneath its metal and a 2014 Challenger asking for an air ride upgrade. The rest of the third season taps into cars of all types and decades -- from a 1929 Roadster to a 2014 Mercedes. Kindig and his crew have seen it all in their Salt Lake City establishment, and work tirelessly to transform each project into a real bitchin' ride. This season Dave also tackles some of his own personal projects, finally transforming a 1972 Bronco he purchased three years ago and getting his hands dirty on a more recent purchase of a 1962 Volkswagen Bus.
The fourth season of BITCHIN' RIDES premiered with back-to-back episodes on Tuesday, October 3, 2017 from 9-11pm ET/PT on Velocity. The new season begins by taking viewers inside the restoration of a 1957 Ford Fairlane 500 that hasn't hit the road in 60 years, and a challenge from a father and son duo who want the Kindig It team to apply their magic touch to a 2016 Hellcat and a 1973 Cuda.
Season 5 of BITCHIN' RIDES premiered on Tuesday, October 9, 2018 at 9pm ET/PT on Velocity. In the season opener, "We Build Bitchin Rides," Dave and the team at Kindig It Design start a new year with a one of a kind build they have never attempted before, a 1964 Ranchero. The car looks to have had a lot of work done, but what's underneath the metal sets the team back.
BITCHIN' RIDES returned for its sixth season on Wednesday, September 25, 2019 at 9pm ET/PT on MotorTrend Network. In the season opener, "Finish What You Start," delayed by numerous issues and setbacks, the 1941 Chevy is finished in the metal shop and ready for paint. Fresh paint, new wiring and custom interior take this problem build to the next level.
The seventh season of BITCHIN' RIDES premiered on Wednesday, October 21, 2020 at 9pm ET/PT on MotorTrend Network. In the season opener, "Easy Does It," a past client returns with a 1965 Mustang Fastback, and though he likes the stock look, he wants to upgrade the drivetrain, instrumentation and as many modern amenities as possible; the assembly team gets a crash course in engine tuning.

Season 10 of BITCHIN' RIDES debuted on Tuesday, October 3, 2023 at 9pm ET/PT on MotorTrend Network. In the season opener, "How Do You Say Bitchin' in Italian?," good things come in small packages, and this 1967 Fiat fits the bill; Dave is excited by a new challenge; the build sheet includes making it a wide body, a more powerful engine, custom fender flares and more.
