Plot Synopsis

BIKINIS & BOARDWALKS explores the sights, sounds and sizzle of America's beach boardwalks, where millions of travelers flock to indulge in their favorite guilty pleasures every year. From the sinfully delicious foods and adrenaline-pumping thrill rides, to the unexpected nearby attractions and miles of gorgeous beach, each 30-minute episode of this series explores two boardwalks, including: Coney Island, NY, highlighting the country's last Circus Sideshow, with sword swallowers, sorcerers, fire-eaters and more; Wildwood, NJ, chronicling an epic BBQ competition and extreme thrill rides; Mission Beach in San Diego, CA, featuring fresh fish tacos and bikini-clad surfer girls hanging ten; Ocean City, MD, enjoying inverted water slides, delicious donuts and a 1.4-million-dollar fish; and many more ultimate summer hotspots. On Sunday, July 27, 2014 at 9pm ET/PT, Travel Channel aired the Season 2 premiere of BIKINIS & BOARDWALKS, showing back-to-back new episodes. The second season opener revealed bikini beauties and adrenaline junkies at Bondi Beach in Australia and then Florianopolis, Brazil. In the night's second episode, B&B traveled to the North Shore of Oahu, HI and then the Mexican island oasis of Cozumel. BIKINIS & BOARDWALKS returned for its third season on Sunday, July 26, 2015 from 9-10pm ET/PT, as Travel Channel premiered back-to-back new episodes. Season 3 is comprised of six half-hour episodes, plus two hour-long special episodes. The season opener (9pm), "Bikinis, Pirates and Pura Vida," goes bikini rappelling down a massive 180-foot waterfall in the jungle, and enjoys the best bodies and surf breaks in Jaco, Costa Rica. Then it's off to Tybee Island, Georgia where we get our grog on at the famous Pirate Fest. The night's second new episode (9:30pm), "Bikinis and Barbecue in Galveston, Texas and Puerto Rico," heads to Galveston Island, an adrenaline junkie's playground. Across the island on the Houston shipping channel, three locals gear up for a super charged thrill ride on a jet boat, as they speeding through waves, and enjoy some intense BBQ.
