Plot Synopsis
BIG RAD WOLF is a short-form documentary series that chronicles the rise and fall of the American Apparel company. American Apparel was initially celebrated for its provocative advertising and message of social change. Then the unpredictability of its founder imploded the iconic company. This is the story of the brand -- good, bad, and ugly -- as told by the people who lived it. On Monday, October 19, 2020 at 3:01am ET/12:01am PT, Quibi released the first three episodes of the nine-episode series. In the series opener, "Meet Dov," American Apparel embodied a cultural moment in the 2000s -- until its enigmatic founder, Dov Charney, became a liability. In the second installment, "Made in USA," those closest to Dov give insight into the man behind the iconic brand. Then, in the third episode, "F*ck Work-Life Balance," former American Apparel employees discuss the unconventional way Dov would motivate his young employees. A new episode of BIG RAD WOLF debuts each weekday thereafter.
