BIG PAPI NEEDS A JOB is a reality series that follows David 'Big Papi' Ortiz as he seeks out new jobs and opportunities after retiring from Major League Baseball after the 2016 season as one of the most decorated and best-loved players in Red Sox history. But Big Papi is already going out of his mind -- and he's driving his family nuts, too! They all agree on one thing -- he was not built for retirement without goals and he needs to find himself gainful employment. In this docuseries, Big Papi embarks on the post-baseball phase of his life, exploring different options -- from animal handling to working in a barbershop. In each episode he tries a different job, where he is put through training to learn the ropes before being thrown directly into the fire to ply his new trade. At the end of each job, his new clients say what they think of Big Papi's work and if they think he has a future in the industry.
