Plot Synopsis

Based on the web series of the same name, BIG NIGHT OUT is a half-hour series that follows Clive Martin as he travels around Europe to investigate the party scene and clubbing subcultures in Ukraine, Holland, Greece, Romania, Ibiza and the UK. But Clive doesn't just drink, he discovers how partying has become an act of rebellion, sustenance and survival for young people everywhere. On Monday, December 12, 2016 from 10-11pm ET/PT, Viceland aired the U.S. premiere of BIG NIGHT OUT, showing back-to-back new episodes. In the series opener (10pm), "Purgatory in Paradise," Clive explores how tourists, immigrants and the destitute locals coexist in Greece, a hub of hedonistic nightlife and the site of a refugee crisis. Then, in the night's second episode (10:30pm), "Bolero of the Balkans," Clive discovers two beaches in Romania that have become home to two very different party cultures after the country opened its doors after the communist regime.
