Plot Synopsis

BEST IN CHOW is a half-hour docuseries that follows comedian Matt Richards as he travels to the biggest state fairs and street scenes across the country to find America's wildest foods and most creative cooks to judge the best of the best. BEST IN CHOW premiered with back-to-back episodes on Saturday, July 8, 2023 from 11am-Noon ET/PT on A&E.

After a six-week break, BEST IN CHOW returned with new episodes on Saturday, September 16, 2023 at 11am ET/PT on A&E, kicking off the fall season with four new episodes:

"Grand Central Market" (11am): Matt goes to the Grand Central Market in Downtown Los Angeles, CA to find the best wild card, sweet, and spicy sammie dishes.

"New Orleans" (11:30am): Matt goes to the French Quarter in New Orleans, Louisiana to find the best brunch, wild card, and po boy dishes.

"Washington State Fair" (Noon): Puyallup Washington is the home of the Washington State Fair, attracting over a million fairgoers every year on its 160 acres of land in search of the best and wildest food creations the Pacific Northwest has to offer. Host Matt Richards stokes 3 rounds of competition on his quest to find The Best In Chow. In the savory round the Kalua Pork Loco Moco takes on the Matt Dog. In the battle of the sticks, the Bacon Wrapped Meatballs competes with the Half and Half Elote. In the wildcard round the Donut Smashburger battles the Pickle Pizza. But who will win the title of Best in Chow?

"Deep Ellum Dallas" (12:30pm): Deep Ellum in Dallas, TX is the live music capital of North Texas, but it's also known for having the best late night munchies and brunches around to keep the foodies energized and coming back for more. Host Matt Richards stokes 3 rounds of competition on his quest to find The Best in Chow. In the everything is bigger in Texas round the El Jefe Taco takes on the Queso Birria Taco Slice. In the wild card round, the F-Philly Cheesesteak competes with the Gobbler. Finally, in the sweet round, the S'mores Tower battles the Waffle Pop. But who will win the title of Best in Chow?
