Plot Synopsis

Comedians and best friends Jay Larson and Sean Patton travel across the United States, making a cross-country bar crawl. Alongside some raucous friends, these experienced drinking buddies hit up neighborhood dives and swanky bars in seven American cities, as they look for the greatest watering holes while mixing with wild patrons, genius bartenders and one-of-a-kind drinks. In each 60-minute episode of BEST BARS IN AMERICA, Jay and Sean travel to a different locale, including: Portland, OR, where they visit a small-batch whiskey bar and seek out authentic Spanish coffee; Austin, TX, where craft cocktails are blended with rural Texas charm; and other cities, like Manhattan, Brooklyn, Los Angeles, New Orleans, and Boston. Plus, on some of their stops, Jay and Sean are joined by cocktail historian David Wondrich, who annually calls out the 'Best Bars' in "Esquire" magazine. Esquire Network first aired BEST BARS IN AMERICA as a one-hour special on Thursday, December 5, 2013, nearly seven months before the official series premiere on Wednesday, June 25, 2014 at 10pm ET/PT. Jay and Sean returned for BEST BARS IN AMERICA's second season on Wednesday, April 1, 2015 at 9pm ET/PT on Esquire. Season 2 follows these best friends and experienced cocktail connoisseurs as they celebrate America's greatest watering holes. Alongside some raucous and famous friends, this season's cross-country bar crawl hits San Francisco, CA; Washington, DC; Louisville, KY; Minneapolis, MN; Southern California coast; Chicago, IL and Detroit, MI. Plus, themed episodes revealing the best speakeasies, bar food and games are featured throughout the season.

On Wednesday, June 3, 2015 at 9pm ET/PT, Esquire premiered the Season 2 finale of BEST BARS IN AMERICA. In the season ender, "Bar Games," Jay and Sean play bingo, beer pong, and virtual golf at the best game bars in the country. They also get heckled at the Renaissance fair, test their smarts with comedian Kyle Kinane, and somehow strike out with swimsuit model Nina Agdal.
