Plot Synopsis

This six-part series takes a look at Mike Tyson at a telling moment in his life, revealing his personal and professional sides while also unveiling how he deals with his past and re-connects with the public. In this series, cameras follow Tyson traveling the country on a national tour of his one-man stage show, where he reflects on his past and seeks personal closure. He visits the prison in Indianapolis where he was incarcerated and spends unprecedented time with one-time rival Evander Holyfield discussing their true feelings about each other and their memories of "the ear" incident. Cameras roll during a very special and moving meeting with Muhammad Ali, and also while Tyson discusses parenthood and life with his personal hero and mentor, Jim Brown. Plus, Tyson visits his old neighborhoods in Brooklyn and the Catskills. Two days before moving to its regular time slot on Tuesdays at 10:30pm ET/7:30pm PT on Fox Sports 1, BEING: MIKE TYSON premiered on Sunday, September 22, 2013 on Fox at 3:30pm ET/12:30pm PT or 4:30pm ET/1:30pm PT, depending on whether the episode aired before or after local NFL on FOX coverage.
