Plot Synopsis

Determined to find whoever is responsible for killing Sean Hardacre (her lover and colleague), Detective Inspector Hannah Laing reaches out to one of his confidential contacts for information. Issy leads her to the Mimicas, a tight-knit Croatian family running a successful restaurant -- and a drug-smuggling operation. But when Hannah discovers Issy's identity, she quickly realizes there is far more at stake than bringing the murderers to justice. BEFORE WE DIE, based on the Swedish series of the same name, made its U.S. debut on Sunday, March 20, 2022 at 10pm on PBS (check local listings).

On Sunday, April 24, 2022 at 10pm (check local listings), PBS debuted the season finale of BEFORE WE DIE. The police attempt to bust the Mimicas' operation, but they are in for an unpleasant surprise. With Billy and Christian's help, Hannah manages to turn the tables on the Mimicas and set up a dramatic and conclusive showdown.

BEFORE WE DIE has been renewed for a second season.
