Plot Synopsis

BECOMING US is a one-hour reality series that centers on Ben Lehwald, an ordinary Midwestern teenager from Evanston, IL, who is learning to live with his dad becoming a woman, as he, his family and friends support each other through this unexpected journey and navigate their new world with Charlie now living as Carly. In the series' opener, "#WelcomeToMyWorld," Ben is struggling in school, and his parents, Suzy and Carly, are not happy about it. Ben's girlfriend, Danielle, introduces Carly to her father, Sallydan, who is also transgender, leading to an awkward shopping trip for the four of them. Ben's sister, Sutton, returns home to plan her upcoming wedding.

On Monday, August 10, 2015 at 10pm ET/PT, ABC Family premiered the season finale of BECOMING US. In the season ender, "#EveryPictureTellsAStory," Ben's gallery show is finally here, and he invites Danielle to attend, but she feels awkward since his new girlfriend will also be there. Sutton and Kevin's wedding day is closely approaching, but there is still a question of whether Carly will be able to attend. Sallydan has an announcement for Danielle and Mandy.
