Plot Synopsis

Created and directed by Warwick Thornton, THE BEACH is a slow docuseries that follows Thornton, as he self-isolates in a beach shack in Australia in 2019 in an attempt to transform his life through the healing power of nature. The series is presented as an "infinity-looping experience" for the week-long event, where viewers watch Thornton do everyday tasks with only a few other characters: three chickens, a dog, and a mud crab. Comprised of six half-hour episodes, THE BEACH dropped on Monday, November 22, 2021 and ran until Sunday, November 28 at A24's Screening Room: https://screeningroom.a24films.com/
