Plot Synopsis

BASKETBALL OR NOTHING is a half-hour docuseries that follows the Chinle High Wildcats basketball team in Arizona's Navajo Nation on their quest to win a state championship and bring pride to their isolated community. Used to playing a looser style called "rezball," Chinle players try to adjust to coach Raul Mendoza's more structured system as the season approaches. The Wildcats play against their "brothers" from a nearby community. Assistant coach Beau highlights the challenges players face on the reservation. To get the season back on track, Mendoza makes a big change to the lineup. Dewayne talks about life on a ranch, while Chance reveals his inspiration. The Wildcats begin the regional tournament, which will crown the top team on the reservation. Shaun's morning run pays tribute to Navajo resilience. Chinle faces adversity right away as the state tournament begins. Professional golf stars Notah Begay III and Rickie Fowler speak to the team. Netflix released the entire six-episode series on Friday, August 2, 2019 at 3:01am ET/12:01am PT.
