Plot Synopsis
BARNWOOD BUILDERS is a one-hour reality series that follows Mark Bowe and his crew of West Virginia master craftsmen, as they salvage antique barns and cabins, reusing the wood to create stunning, modern homes. In the pilot, Mark and the guys work to dismantle a barn built by Abe Lincoln's uncle around 1830, and then back on the Boneyard they use old tobacco timbers to build a new barn in the Appalachian dogtrot style. DIY Network first aired the BARNWOOD BUILDERS pilot as a one-hour special on November 1, 2013 at 10pm ET, more than eleven months before the program returned as a series on GAC on Tuesday, October 7, 2014 at 10pm ET/PT. GAC re-aired the pilot as the series premiere episode, immediately followed by a brand-new episode at 11pm ET/PT during which the guys rescue a huge double-pen barn in St. Meinrad, Indiana. It's the biggest dogtrot-style barn they've ever faced, and they have to fight through modern layers of tin and barnwood to get to the incredible, pioneer-era hand-hewn beams.
