Plot Synopsis
An ex-con and recently-paroled master thief assumes the identity of Lucas Hood, the sheriff-in-waiting of Banshee, a small town in Pennsylvania Amish country, where his former partner in crime and lover, who changed her name to Carrie Hopewell, is now living with her new husband and family. Lucas continues his criminal activities, even as he's hunted by shadowy gangsters, like Mr. Rabbit, a ruthless Ukrainian gangster and New York crime boss who has been hunting Lucas and Carrie, his former top thieves, for 15 years. Keeping his history a secret as he awaits forged papers from Job, an unlikely New York City ally and dangerous transvestite computer hacker, Lucas befriends boxer-turned-bartender Sugar Bates, who is also an ex-con. As Lucas settles into his new life as sheriff, he deals with Banshee mayor Dan Kendall while overseeing deputies Emmett Yawners; Siobahn Kelly, a spitfire female deputy; and Brock Lotus, the longest-serving deputy in the Banshee sheriff department, who is threatened by Lucas's new role as sheriff. Even as he adjusts to his new role, he still yearns for Carrie and a life of crime. Carrie is now married to Gulf-War hero and Banshee district attorney Gordon Hopewell and has two children, including Deva, her rebellious daughter, and has seemingly put her life of crime behind her. Soon after arriving, Lucas inadvertently gets tangled up in the rampant corruption of shunned Amish gangster and wealthy local businessman Kai Proctor, helping Lucas reconnect with his criminal past and with Carrie. BANSHEE returned for its second season on Friday, January 10, 2014 at 10pm ET/PT on Cinemax. The Season 2 premiere picked up with the aftermath of the bloody shootout with Rabbit, as Lucas, Carrie and the Sheriff's Department are interrogated by Jim Racine, a renegade FBI special agent who has been tracking Rabbit for 15 years. Meanwhile, Proctor sets his sights on persuading Rebecca to return to his care. Cinemax premiered the 10-episode third season of BANSHEE on Friday, January 9, 2015 at 10pm ET/PT. In the Season 3 opener, "The Fire Trials," Lucas, Brock and Siobhan exact payback on a skinhead responsible for Emmett's death. Now waitressing at a local diner, Carrie faces new challenges in the wake of her revelation to Gordon and Deva about her past. After Alex Longshadow's death, a new, menacing threat looms on the horizon for Lucas, not to mention Proctor and Rebecca: Chayton Littlestone, hell-bent on whipping the Kinaho tribe into a frenzy of violence against their enemies. Investigating the murder of four Marines, Lucas eyes the possibility of a huge, if dangerous, heist, and attempts to reenlist Job to help him and Sugar pull it off. New cast regulars include Langley Kirkwood as Col. Douglas Stowe, a duplicitous Marine leader, and Afton Williamson as Alison Medding, Banshee's new assistant district attorney. The fourth and final season of BANSHEE premiered on Friday, April 1, 2016 at 10pm ET/PT on Cinemax. In the season opener, "Something Out of the Bible," Lucas becomes immersed in a new Banshee crisis involving a vicious serial murderer. For the show's eight-episode final season, these actors join the cast: Eliza Dushku as Veronica Dawson, a tough, sexy and shockingly reckless FBI profiler with no shortage of personal demons, who joins forces with Lucas; Ana Ayora as Nina Cruz, a Banshee deputy working as an inside plant for Proctor; and Casey LaBow as Maggie, wife of a local Aryan Brotherhood leader, who desperately wants a better life for herself and her son

In the series ender, "Requiem," resolved to leave Banshee, Lucas learns that the murder case he thought was finally closed may in fact be opening again. After a tense faceoff with Calvin and the Brotherhood, Proctor looks to finalize his deal with the Colombians. Carrie takes aim at one final act of vengeance. Brock demands allegiance from Bunker as Banshee braces for an uncertain future.
