Plot Synopsis

Young twentysomething Ben, a bartender in New York City, is living the life of a carefree bachelor while rooming with his buddy Tucker and his brother Danny -- until their lives are turned upside down when Ben's ex-girlfriend leaves baby Emma on their doorstep. After much deliberation, Ben decides to raise the baby, and he'll need the help of his friends and family: Riley, Ben's closest female friend, who was once the overweight girl next door they called "fatpants" but is now a beautiful young woman in law school hoping Ben finally notices that she's grown up; Danny, a professional hockey player, who recently relocated to New York, moved in with Ben and Tucker, and is harboring a secret crush on Riley; Tucker, Ben's buddy and roommate, who is always making people laugh; and Bonnie, Ben and Danny's protective and sometimes over-bearing mother. Season 2 premiered on Wednesday, May 29, 2013 at 8:30pm ET/PT on ABC Family, as Ben tries to convince Riley that he's changed his playboy ways and gets the chance to prove he's dependable when she invites him to be her date at a work party. Danny hopes to come to Riley's rescue but he arrives only to find Riley getting friendly with another man. Meanwhile, Tucker schemes to go out with a model. After a four-month break, BABY DADDY returned with new episodes on Wednesday, January 15, 2014 at 8:30pm ET/PT on ABC Family. In the Season 3 premiere, Ben and Riley tried to transition from friendship to being a couple, which resulted in a hugely embarrassing moment for Riley. Meanwhile, Ben was still angry with Bonnie for bringing Emma's mom, Angela, back into their lives. In the Season 3 finale, "You Can't Go Home Again," Bonnie is livid when her former New Jersey neighborhood resurrects the Block Party Olympics that she created and declares war. Seeking vengeance like only Bonnie can, she drafts everyone to crash the gathering, win all the events and put an end to the party once and for all. While visiting the Wheelers' old tree house, Riley and Ben are surprised when they find Danny's childhood expression of love. Meanwhile, Danny learns Georgie (Mallory Jansen) is moving to Paris and realizes this could be the perfect opportunity to put some distance between himself and Riley. Now in its fourth season, BABY DADDY returned with all-new episodes on Wednesday, January 14, 2015 at 8:30pm ET/PT on ABC Family. After a lot of bumps in the road, the Season 3 finale saw Ben and Riley finally commit to their romantic relationship and really be together. But as Danny prepares to move to Paris and start a new life with Georgie, Riley begins to panic about not having him in her life, prompting her to question how she really feels about her best friend. In the Season 4 winter finale, Riley knows she has to tell Danny she has feelings for him before his relationship with Robyn gets any more serious. Riley tries to talk to him at hockey practice, but a food fight and a knockout punch get in the way before she is able to confess her feelings to an unconscious Danny. Tucker is unhappy with his love life, so Ben and Bonnie invent a secret admirer to give him some much needed confidence. But when a misguided Bonnie sends Tucker a random photo of his admirer and he later spots her on the street, the matchmakers realize they have to do some damage control; they track down the model, Christine (guest star Brittney Alger), and trick her into going on a date with Tucker. Meanwhile, when Danny realizes Riley knew he loved her but still dated Ben, will he follow his heart to the girl of his dreams or will pride get in the way? Season 5 of BABY DADDY premiered on Wednesday, February 3, 2016 at 8:30pm ET/PT on Freeform (the new name of ABC Family). In the season opener, "Love and Carriage," Riley faints after Danny asks her to marry him; and when she wakes up, she has no memory of his proposal. Trying to move on from Riley, Ben decides to find "his Riley" and immediately hits it off with new neighbor Zoey (guest star Jonna Walsh). However, Ben is shocked when their first date reveals he and Zoey have more in common than he thought. Bonnie is determined to finally marry Brad after many aborted attempts, and believing Ben and Danny are to blame, enlists Tucker to help her tie the knot without her sons' knowledge. Additional guest stars this season include Mary Hart and Daniella Monet. On Wednesday, Jun 1, 2016 at 8:30pm ET/PT, Freeform debuted the summer premiere of BABY DADDY. In the mid-season premiere, "Trial by Liar," Danny is desperate to make up with Riley after their recent breakup, but she is still furious after learning he hooked up with Sam (guest star Daniella Monet) in high school. Determined to prove that she is not overreacting, Riley puts Danny on "trial" for breaking her heart, with Bonnie acting as Danny's lawyer. And Ben tries to save face with Zoey (guest star Jonna Walsh) after discovering that her ex has returned to get back together with her. Jackee Harry also guest stars. The sixth season of BABY DADDY premiered on Monday, March 13, 2017 at 8:30pm ET on Freeform, as the hit comedy series reaches the coveted milestone of 100 episodes later in the new season. The season opener, "To Elle and Back," picks up three months after the previous season's finale, and Ben is still enthusiastically searching for the mysterious Elle. Danny and Riley are hunting for a good doctor to help with the pregnancy, and Bonnie desperately wants to be involved. Tucker is back from Los Angeles, but refuses to tell anyone what happened while he was there. Peter Porte, Katie Gill, Victoria Park and Natalie Dreyfuss guest star in the season premiere. Other guest stars in Season 6 include: Nathalia Castellon, John Hennigan, and more.

On Monday, May 22, 2017 at 8:30pm ET/PT, Freeform premieres the "Daddy's Girl" episode of BABY DADDY, which serves both as the show's 100th episode as well as the series finale. Katie Gill and Rachna Khatau guest star. Riley is confined to the couch with the baby due any second while Tucker tries to help Danny decide what to buy her as a "push gift." Ben begins to feel like an insufficient parent when Emma's upcoming mother-daughter talent show leads Emma to ask questions about why she doesn't have a mother.
