Plot Synopsis

This half-hour, sketch-comedy series showcases a combination of new parodies and existing content from the teen/tween internet channel AwesomenessTV, one of the original 100 channels launched as part of YouTube Original Programming. The TV series features a variety of segments, including character sketches, celebrity satires and parody music videos. Hosted by Daniella Monet in Season 1, AWESOMENESSTV featured guest hosts in Season 2. The YouTube channel was founded by TV and film director Brian Robbins, and on May 1, 2013 DreamWorks Animation SKG announced that it acquired AwesomenessTV for approximately $33 million in cash plus additional contingent cash payments. AWESOMENESSTV returned for its second season on Monday, May 5, 2014 at 8pm ET/PT on Nickelodeon with new pranks, character sketches and parodies of popular music videos. Plus, Season 2 featured THE THUNDERMANS' Jack Griffo and Kira Kosarin as guest hosts in the season opener, with subsequent episodes hosted by 5 Seconds of Summer, Rixton, Fifth Harmony, Emblem3, Smosh and more guest celebrities and stars.
