Plot Synopsis

Economist Conor Woodman quit his job as a market analyst, took 25,000 pounds from the sale of his flat, and travelled through 16 countries on four continents, buying and selling goods as he tried to double his investment. More times than not, Conor bought products in one country to sell in another: two tons of Zambian coffee for the South African market; 4,000 bottles of South African chili sauce for Delhi; South African red wine in Shanghai, China; premium quality tea from the highlands of Taiwan to sell in Japan; Brazilian teak for UK house builders; and many more items he gambled on.
