Plot Synopsis

ARES is an eight-episode psychological horror series that enters the world of Ares, a secret student society in the heart of Amsterdam where best friends Rosa and Jacob surrender to a world of wealth and power. But slowly they start to realize they've entered a demonic place, built on secrets from The Netherlands' past -- a place where true power comes at a terrible price. Shortly after Rosa joins Ares, she undergoes a trying and terrifying initiation ceremony, and a fellow novice goes missing, putting the leaders of Ares on high alert. Then, Rosa faces dueling responsibilities while Jacob submits to an interrogation. Later, Fleur invites Rosa to a party, where fates are seemingly sealed. The leaders of Ares go to extremes in an effort to hide the truth behind Rosa's gruesome discovery. Meanwhile, Jacob's affliction worsens. Netflix released all eight episodes of ARES on Friday, January 17, 2020 at 3:01am ET/12:01am PT.
