Plot Synopsis
Directed by Lear deBessonet and choreographed by Sergio Trujillo, ANNIE LIVE! is a made-for-TV revival of the Tony-winning musical "Annie," which was inspired by Harold Gray's comic strip, "Little Orphan Annie." ANNIE LIVE! follows the story of an 11-year-old orphan, her wealthy benefactor Oliver "Daddy" Warbucks, her loyal dog Sandy, and Miss Hannigan, the caretaker of the orphanage where Annie lives. Originally presented by Mike Nichols, "Annie" is one of the biggest hits in Broadway history and the winner of seven Tony awards including Best Musical.
