Plot Synopsis

Have a laugh with some of the funniest home videos ever sent in by people across the country. In its 27 seasons to date, AMERICA'S FUNNIEST HOME VIDEOS has given away over $14 million in prize money and evaluated more than a million videotapes from home viewers. For the 2013-2014 season, AFV's three $100,000 winners will compete to win a Grand Prize: a vacation for four to the Walt Disney World Resort in Florida and to the Disneyland Resort in California. AMERICA'S FUNNIEST HOME VIDEOS returned for its 25th season on Sunday, October 12, 2014 at 7pm ET/PT on ABC, one week later than originally scheduled. The video highlights in the Season 25 premiere episode include clips featuring Ice Bucket Challenges that went wrong; a little girl trying out her new gift; a fairy that actually flies, only to see it fly directly into the lit fireplace; "Hammocks vs. Hams"; a music montage featuring comedic canines; and Tom playing "Head, Gut or Groin?" In its first 25 seasons, AFV gave away over $13 million in prize money and evaluated more than a million video clips from home viewers.

AMERICA'S FUNNIEST HOME VIDEOS returned for its 26th season on Sunday, October 11, 2015 at 7pm ET/PT on ABC, with new host Alfonso Ribeiro.

Season 27 of AMERICA'S FUNNIEST HOME VIDEOS premiered on Sunday, October 2, 2016 at 7pm ET/PT on ABC. Hosted again by Alfonso Ribeiro, this week's video highlights include a teenager recovering from dental surgery who is convinced one of her nurses was Hilary Clinton; a woman in labor tries to distract herself by dancing hip hop in the delivery room; a boy tries to do a good deed by returning his neighbor's garbage can which was blown into his yard, only to be challenged by fierce winds; a music montage featuring Hover Board mishaps and a package of hilarious face-swapping videos.

Season 28 of AFV premiered on Sunday, October 8, 2017 at 8pm ET/PT on ABC, with host Alfonso Ribeiro returning for another season. The season opener's video highlights include a music montage starring dinosaurs of all kinds and the ferocious fun they create; mishaps in the Great Outdoors, including a tiny fisherman celebrating his catch until he mishears his dad saying, "Throw it off," instead of, "Show it off." A sunbathing beauty gets pranked by a passing jet skier; dogs saying "I love you"; and a Dorky Dad segment includes a dad puppeteer who is foiled by the family dog stealing his show.

Season 29 of AFV premiered on Sunday, September 30, 2018 at 7pm ET/PT on ABC, with Alfonso Ribeiro returning as host. AFV offers a weekly $10,000 first place prize to the funniest or most unique video as voted upon by the in-studio audience. Those prize winners then move on to the next competition round where they vie for a $100,000 prize. At the end of the season, the $100,000 prize winners compete for a grand prize vacation package. In its 29 seasons to date, AFV has given away over $15 million in prize money and evaluated nearly 2 million video from home viewers. The season opener features funny pranks, a musical tribute to cats and a deer who steals the carrot-nose from a snowman.

AMERICA'S FUNNIEST HOME VIDEOS returned for its 30th season on Sunday, September 29, 2019 at 7pm ET/PT on ABC, with Alfonso Ribeiro returning as host. In its 30 seasons to date, AFV has given away over $16 million in prize money and evaluated more than 2 million video clips from home viewers. In the season opener: a dad discovers his toddler has covered himself and the backseat with Nutella; a couple locked out of their house encourages their dog to unlock the door from the inside; and parents trick their daughters into thinking they're taking a limo to school on April Fools' Day. On Sunday, January 5, 2020 at 7pm ET/PT, ABC debuted the Season 30 winter premiere of AFV. Don't miss a woman who finds a plastic cockroach in her bowl of chips; videos featuring twins; and Recovery Room Ramblers, including a teen who thinks her tongue has fallen out of her mouth after dental surgery. Plus, a little girl hides under the table to prevent her mom from seeing her eat ice cream; and a little girl that doesn't want to grow up because she doesn't want to eat salad.

Season 31 of AMERICA'S FUNNIEST HOME VIDEOS premiered on Sunday, October 18, 2020 at 7pm ET/PT on ABC, with Alfonso Ribeiro returning as host. AFV offers a weekly $10,000 first-place prize to the funniest or most unique video as voted upon by the in-studio audience. Those prize winners then move on to the next competition round where they vie for a $100,000 prize. At the end of the season, the $100,000 prize winners compete for a grand prize vacation package. In its 31 seasons to date, AFV has given away over $16 million in prize money and evaluated nearly 2 million video clips from home viewers. The season opener features the hazards of working from home, including teachers being interrupted in funny ways while trying to teach virtually; parents attempting the Toddler Temptation Challenge; and the funny things kids imitate after watching their parents.

The 32nd season of AMERICA'S FUNNIEST HOME VIDEOS debuted on Sunday, October 3, 2021 at 7pm ET/PT on ABC. Hosted once again by Alfonso Ribeiro, the series offers a weekly $10,000 first-place prize to the funniest or most unique video as voted upon by the in-studio audience. Those prize winners then move on to the next competition round where they vie for a $100,000 prize. At the end of the season, the $100,000 prize winners compete for a grand prize vacation package. In its 32 seasons and 700 episodes to date, AFV has given away over $16 million in prize money and evaluated over 2 million video clips from home viewers. The season opener -- and the milestone 700th episode -- features mischievous animals, including a squirrel that destroys outdoor patio furniture, a mask-stealing giraffe and a musical tribute to cats.

Season 33 of AMERICA'S FUNNIEST HOME VIDEOS premiered on Sunday, October 2, 2022 at 7pm ET/PT on ABC, with host Alfonso Ribeiro returning for a new season. On the season premiere, it's magic tricks gone wrong. Plus, kids say the funniest things including telling their parents they need a new mom because theirs is getting old and that their mom is old enough to do the dishes herself when asked to help.

AMERICA'S FUNNIEST HOME VIDEOS returned for its 34th season on Sunday, October 1, 2023 at 7pm ET/PT on ABC, hosted again by Alfonso Ribeiro. In the season opener, the comical videos continue with sassy seniors, bicycle blunders and snow snafus; plus, a mom discovers her son has devoured her lipstick, and a dad embarrasses his kids as they get off the school bus.

The 35th season of AMERICA'S FUNNIEST HOME VIDEOS debuted on Sunday, September 29, 2024 at 7pm ET/PT on ABC, with Alfonso Ribeiro returning as host. The season opener celebrates 35 years of laughs with a teen's "promposal" going wrong with a fall down the steps. Then, there's a chaotic mix-up involving chickens.
