Plot Synopsis

AMERICAN SUPER/NATURAL is a one-hour series that explores American legends, revealing how weather shaped the tale, discussing the origin story, and presenting first-hand accounts told by the people who believe these tales -- or even lived through them. Whether it's a bad moon rising or a wicked wind blowing, this series peels back the layers of terrifying tales, as each 60-minute episode focuses on a different legend, including: Moll Dyer, an accused witch, who was burned out of her home in 1697 with flames and fury during a deadly freeze; and seven other local legends that weather shaped. This series aired as part of the Weather Channel's "Wicked Weather Sundays," which aired on Sundays from 9-11pm ET/PT starting on October 5, 2014.
