Plot Synopsis

For years, Paul Teutul Sr.and his son Paul Jr. built custom motorcycles in their Orange County Choppers shop in Newburgh, New York. Their constant arguing often prevented them from finishing projects on time, and their relationship soured so much that Senior fired his own son. For a few years, they operated competing businesses across the street from each other, as seen on the TV series AMERICAN CHOPPER: SENIOR VS. JUNIOR. But Senior and Junior eventually took steps toward reconciliation, which ultimately led to the duo partnering up for a hands-on project, which also led to AMERICAN CHOPPER returning to TV in Fall 2012. As Senior and Junior committed to focusing on their relationship, both of their businesses were in full swing with bike builds and both entrepreneurs sought to expand their businesses, while working together. A new season of AMERICAN CHOPPER premiered on Monday, May 28, 2018 at 10pm ET/PT on Discovery Channel. Paul Sr. and Paul Jr., two of the most legendary chopper craftsmen set out to regain their place atop the high-pressure world of customized bike building. With A-list celebrities, world famous athletes and Forbes 100 businesses as clients, millions of dollars and their brands' reputations are on the line with every signature build. The two estranged builders also hope to reconcile their infamously fractured relationship. The Teutuls have been on a wild ride, and it certainly isn't ending any time soon. Paul Sr. has revamped Orange County Choppers -- turning it into a complex with a shop, cafe, bowling alley, restaurant and of course, the showroom -- but all that didn't come without a hefty price tag and he is feeling the burden of a high overhead and a lack of foot traffic. Meanwhile, Paul Jr. has also felt the sting of a rough economy -- with his business built solely on high-dollar custom-builds and commissions becoming tougher to come by, Paul Jr. stresses about the long-term stability of his own shop, Paul Jr. Designs especially now that he has his own family. The father-son duo vow to begin a new chapter -- again and put the past behind them, but now that Paul Jr. has a son, there are more parties involved. Will the Teutuls chopper businesses continue to survive -- and even grow or will their complicated father-son relationship pose a threat to their shops? In the season opener, "Getting the Bike Back Together," the OCC crew builds one of their fastest bikes ever but a problem with the supercharger threatens the schedule. Junior races to complete a complicated bike for a client. Father and son find it hard to let go of the past while restoring a bike together.

Discovery Channel premiered a new season of AMERICAN CHOPPER on Tuesday, February 12, 2019 at 10pm ET/PT, with Paul Teutul Sr. and Paul Teutul Jr. pushing their design abilities to the limits and creating one-of-a-kind choppers via their renowned bike brands, Orange County Choppers and Paul Jr. Designs. Over the past year, Paul Sr. and Paul Jr. have taken steps toward mending their once fractured relationship, and after rebuilding the Yankees-themed chopper together last season, the father-son duo are moving past their differences this season, restoring a 1951 Buick together. Faced with the challenges of a changing market and a need to build mind-blowing bikes, the Teutuls must push their limits on every signature build, and in true Teutul fashion, antics are abundant as Paul Sr., Paul Jr., and Mikey continue this wild ride. While the Teutuls continue to work with world famous athletes, Forbes 100 businesses and celebrity clients to evolve their businesses with the changing customized bike market, Paul Sr. takes a risk at Orange County Choppers as he moves his bike designs in a different direction. However, he also jumps at an opportunity to go back to his roots, designing a throwback line of affordable motorcycles. Meanwhile, Paul Jr. - working to keep up with looming deadlines as he takes on new concepts and builds - challenges himself to build a streamlined bike for the MLB Network, all to impress his father who recommended him for the job.

On Tuesday, August 4, 2020 from 9-11pm ET/PT, Discovery Channel premiered "The Last Ride," a two-hour AMERICAN CHOPPER special. Paul Teutul Sr. and Paul Teutul Jr., two of the most legendary chopper craftsmen are back to conquer unfinished business. The infamous father-son duo have been on a wild ride, and now after spending years trying to rebuild their fractured relationship they return to the garage where it all started in hopes of building a custom bike together for the first time in over a decade. In the special, world-class motorcycle builders, Paul Teutul Sr., owner of Orange County Choppers and Paul Teutul Jr., owner of Paul Jr. Designs, find out that the original Orange County Choppers building is going to be torn down and they revisit the shop to pick up a few items that were left behind and reminisce on the past. Overcome by the history of the building, Paul Jr. jumps on the opportunity to ask his dad to build a bike together. After some thought, Paul Sr. agrees to the build and the two set out to work on a custom chopper for one of the largest distributors of exterior and interior building products. But, complications arise between the father-son duo as they get to work on creating a one-of-a-kind chopper. Paul Sr. and Paul Jr. have their own unique bike styles and when Paul Jr. pushes for more creative input, the entire build is thrown into jeopardy.
