Plot Synopsis

Starting in 2014, the ALTERNATIVE PRESS MAGAZINE MUSIC AWARDS (APMAs) annually honor outstanding alternative-rock artists for recent and lifetime achievements. In its inaugural year, the APMAs conferred 14 awards, including: Album of the Year; Artist of the Year; Song of the Year; Best Guitarist; Best Drummer; Best International Band; Most Dedicated Fans; Icon Award (Joan Jett); Vanguard Award (Billy Corgan); Guitar Legend Award (Slash); and more. The 2014 APMAs, hosted by Mark Hoppus of Blink-182, were broadcast live from the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in Cleveland, OH, on Monday, July 21, 2014 at 8pm ET/5pm PT on AXS TV, featuring performances from A Day To Remember, All Time Low, Asking Alexandria, Fall Out Boy, Joan Jett & The Blackhearts, Machine Gun Kelly, The Misfits, Sleeping With Sirens, twenty one pilots, Brendon Urie of Panic! At The Disco, and more. Other artists scheduled to make appearances include: Andy Biersack of Black Veil Brides, Chiodos, Laura Jane Grace of Against Me!, I See Stars, Ice-T & Coco, Korn, Memphis May Fire, Motionless In White, Frankie Palmeri of Emmure, We Came As Romans, Yellowcard, and Cleveland's 115-piece Contemporary Youth Orchestra. On Wednesday, July 22, 2015 from 7-11:30pm ET/4-8:30pm PT, AXS TV broadcast live coverage of the 2015 ALTERNATIVE PRESS MAGAZINE MUSIC AWARDS, hosted by All Time Low's Alex Gaskarth and Jack Barakat from Quicken Loans Arena, just down the street from the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame and Museum in Cleveland, OH. The 2nd annual event featured performances from Weezer, Pierce The Veil, Panic! At The Disco, Rob Zombie, All Time Low, New Found Glory with Hayley Williams, Taking Back Sunday, Slipknot's Corey Taylor, Simple Plan, Halestorm, DMC of Run DMC, Black Veil Brides, Sum 41, Motionless In White, Issues' Tyler Carter with PVRIS and Mike Herrera of MXPX. Immediately before the awards program, Ash Costello of New Years Day and Keith Buckley of Every Time I Die cover the red carpet from 6:30-7pm ET/3:30-4pm PT on AXS TV.
