Plot Synopsis
Comedian John Pinette hosts ALL YOU CAN EAT, in which he explores the complete history, technology and process behind every single bite of food we take -- from factories and farmlands to restaurants and retail. Each 30-minute episode includes multiple vignettes that all focus on a different food theme, including: "America's Best," which highlights Philly cheese steaks, clam chowder, and the French dip sandwich; "Cheese," which features cheese artisans, happy cows, and a celebration of cheese in all its forms; "Wings & Things," which celebrates food that can be eaten without utensils, fresh lobster, and a device that makes hot wings easy to eat; "Sausage," which explores a Scottish Egg, how ground meat is stuffed into a casing, and the differences between a sausage and a hot dog; "Stuffed Foods," which chronicles the history of stuffing (as food), a place that claims they can stuff anything legal, and a man who makes a living by stuffing himself; "Deep Fried, which documents the science of why everything tastes better fried, deep-fried confections of the Louisiana State Fair, and America's deep-fried delicacies; "Sandwiches," which focuses on a grilled-cheese hotspot and a guy who can name over 100 types of sandwiches; "Beef," which answers questions about America's most popular protein, such as the first roast beef sandwich, the most expensive steak in New York, and the origin of mincemeat; "Munchies," which reveals an impossible burger-eating challenge, an inn notorious for its nuclear hot wings, and a grill master who creates dude food; "Bacon," which is a sizzle reel about America's popular pork product -- from the farm to the table; "Meatballs," which unveils the best polpettas in Little Italy, a Norwegian meatball fest, and pork meatballs known as the Lion's Head; and "Breakfast," which features waffles, doughnuts, cold cereal and other breakfast foods.
