Plot Synopsis

ALASKA OFF ROAD WARRIORS is a one-hour reality series that chronicles an off-road competition in which five teams of two face-off in a grueling timed race across Alaska. Racing from the Pacific Ocean to the Arctic Ocean -- through muddy terrain and unpredictable wilderness -- these teams travel across eight of the most dangerous trails in the world. The trails are divided into two legs and the team with the lowest aggregated time from all the trails is named the winner. As they race against time -- and each other -- their journey not only tests their trusty vehicles but the teams themselves. The five teams are: Butch 'Big Dog' Evans & 'Wild' Bill Coty, a veteran team with 25+ years of off-road experience; Brent & Scott Leigh, North Pole brothers, who believe off-roading is a way of life, not just a form of recreation; Carl Jantz & Rich Rudman, the only non-Alaskans in the race, who hail from Seattle and are often called MacGyver and the Mad Scientist; Pete & Shey Lannigan,, an Irish brother-sister team, who has been at each other's throats since childhood; and Jason Beard & Glen 'The Polack' Lucas, a former Marine and his loyal friend, who are the renegades of the competition.

On Sunday, January 18, 2015 at 10pm ET/PT, History premiered the Season 1 finale of ALASKA OFF-ROAD WARRIORS. In the season ender, "Journey's End," the race enters the final stretch -- an all out sprint to the Arctic Ocean -- after a grueling marathon of muddy bogs, raging waters, and rocky slopes. After a hair-raising ascent through the Brooks Range, the warriors must put all their experience and expertise to the test as they navigate the only path North, the daunting Dalton Highway. Rich and Carl hope to prove themselves to their Alaskan competitors by beating them on their own turf. But the Alaskan teams refuse to give the lower forty-eighters any slack, mounting an all out charge to win the prize and the title.
