Plot Synopsis
Based on M.C. Beaton's book series of the same name, AGATHA RAISIN follows Agatha Raisin, a former high-powered London PR guru, who retires early to a quaint village in the Cotswolds and soon finds a second career as an amateur detective investigating mischief, mayhem, and murder in her deceptively devious town. She has resorted to unorthodox and amusing methods to help solve crimes -- she has stayed all night in haunted houses, pretended to work on reality TV shows, donned flattering disguises and much more. She has also found herself topping a list of suspects and has had to race to prove her innocence.

Everyone in the village of Lower Tapor becomes a suspect-including the woman's own children.
Season 4 of AGATHA RAISIN debuted on Acorn TV on Monday, February 7, 2022, as the streaming service released two episodes. In the season opener, "Love, Lies & Liquor (Part 1)," when James whisks Agatha away on a seaside trip to work on his new book, the last thing she expects is to end up in a town called Snoth-on-Sea; the getaway goes from bad to worse when they're greeted by protesters at the hotel, and then an obnoxious fellow guest is murdered-and the local police consider Agatha the prime suspect. In the second episode, "Love, Lies & Liquor (Part 2)," Toni and Roy go looking for Ronnie, but someone else gets there first. After re-interviewing the victim's latest husband, Agatha learns about Chelsea's traumatic history and begins to make connections between the killings and the long-ago robbery...but can she unravel the puzzle before another life is lost?

On Monday, February 21, 2022, Acorn TV released the final two episodes of Season 4:
"There Goes the Bride (Part 1)": The stage is all set for the wedding of the year between James and his Welsh fiancee, Eirwen, but nothing ever goes to plan in Carsely. First, an unfortunate paintballing mishap leaves the couple splattered in their finery. But ruined attire matters little when Eirwen is shot dead the night before the wedding, and Agatha must take on the case to clear James's name.
"There Goes the Bride (Part 2)": Having lost their lead, Agatha and the gang go back to their list of suspects. Could Eirwen's murder be connected to the family business? Or were her two prior fiancees somehow involved? As Agatha looks closer at all these tangled relationships, she realizes that someone may have been unwilling to part from Eirwen -- except by death.
