Plot Synopsis

For THE LOOKOUT, correspondents use their investigative skills, going undercover or testing trends and products, to help consumers get the most for their money and avoid costly mistakes. In its premiere episode, THE LOOKOUT focused on self-help fixes, with correspondents tracking down an infomercial king now living in Switzerland, testing a fat-melting machine, hunting down bed bugs, and checking out mold inspections. Subsequent episodes highlighted topics like: how to stop a house from becoming a money pit; getting the most out of family vacations; and many more consumer issues. THE LOOKOUT continues ABC's primetime programming for NIGHTLINE, but the title was changed from NIGHTLINE PRIMETIME: TWO TRUTHS AND A LIE approximately one week before the series premiere.
