Plot Synopsis

3Ice is a hockey league that features teams playing games that use a three-on-three overtime format. There are no powerplays; instead, the coach picks a player to take a penalty shot. Games that are tied after regulation go directly to one-round shootouts until a winner is determined. Each game consists of two 8-minute halves with a running clock that only stops for penalties and injuries. Each team is comprised of six skaters, one goalie, and a Hall-of-Fame coach.

The inaugural season features six teams playing at a different city each week. At each stop, fans can watch six games: three in the opening round; two semi-final games; and a championship game. All in less than three hours. Regular season tour stops include: Orleans Area in Las Vegas, NV (Jun 18); Magness Arena in Denver, CO (Jun 25); Van Andel Arena in Grand Rapids, MI (Jul 2); Giant Center in Hershey, PA (Jul 9); Budweiser Gardens in London, Ontario (Jul 16); PPG Paints Arena in Pittsburgh, PA (Jul 23); Videotron Center in Quebec City, Quebec (Jul 30); and Bridgestone Arena in Nashville, TN (Aug 6). The first season ends on August 20 for playoffs and season championship at Orleans Arena in Vegas.
