Plot Synopsis

1670 is a satirical comedy series that follows Jan Adamczewski, a zany nobleman, who contends with family feuds and clashes with peasants in his quest to become the most famous person in Poland in the 17th century. The series opens with Jan Pawel receiving an invitation to a nobleman's assembly, leading him to seek his son's advice on asserting dominance over his archnemesis, Andrzej. Then, as their refined, prospective in-laws visit, Jan Pawel finds it challenging to take charge while Zofia wrestles with unfamiliar emotions. All eight episodes of this series dropped on Wednesday, December 13, 2023 on Netflix.
