Plot Synopsis
Based on the 1960 novel by John Steinbeck. A grocery store clerk can achieve his life long dream of the buying the store which was once owned by his family if he does a favor for the unscrupulous town banker. He can get the money he needs if can convince his alcoholic best friend to sell his treasured home.
