Plot Synopsis
In 1991 Denver, a smooth con-man, unable to father children, will do anything to keep his wife happy. He pretends to arrange an adoption-- then kills a young mother and kidnaps her baby, passing the child off as the daughter they have legally adopted. She eventually learns of his crimes and works with the police to break the case--putting her own life in danger. He is arrested and sentenced to life in prison.
