Plot Synopsis

An obsessive mother, anguished over her lawyer son's decision to leave home, attempts suicide. When he becomes involved with a sweet-natured nurse, Mom tries to force her son to end the relationship. The couple secretly marry and are soon pregnant. Crazed Mama begins scheming to get rid of her son's wife. When the girl is found dead, she is arrested for the crime. Her son, in deep denial about his mother's guilt, agrees to defend his mother. She is found guilty and sentenced to death.
