Plot Synopsis

Based on a story by Damon Runyon. On Christmas Eve a shady Casino owner hires of a trio of inept mobsters to permanently shut up his accountant from ratting him out to the feds and to find out where his business partner in crime is hiding out. In the desert the guys come upon an eight and-a-half month pregnant stunner named Mary who turns out to be the the partner's girlfriend and is crafty enough to give them the slip. The wise guys soon find themselves playing hero as they try to save her and the bosses wife, who has gotten mixed up in the fray, so they'll both live to see the sun rise on Christmas morning.
