Plot Synopsis
Based on a story by Graham Greene. In occupied France, a lawyer gives his chateau to the family of a man who takes a convicted man's name and death sentence. The lawyer becomes the chateau's handyman and romances his surrogate's sister until a stranger turns up claiming to be him.
