Plot Synopsis

In San Diego, 18-year-old Cassie works as a teller at the bank her mother Joyce is the branch manager. On a quiet day masked robbers hold up the bank, make off with a million dollars and take Cassie as a hostage. Cassie soon discovers that the bandits are three girls from her high school and one of them is her best friend, Abbie. At first she is angry at being betrayed by her friends, but she has a change of heart when she discovers that their real motivation for stealing the money is to ransom Abbie's father, who has been kidnapped by gangsters in Mexico. She soon joins forces with Abbie to help deliver the ransom money at the Mexican border; meanwhile, her mother, frantic to find her daughter, works with FBI Agent Mendoza to try and identify the bank robbers. When Mendoza begins to suspect Cassie of being in on the heist, Joyce realizes Cassie is now a suspect not a victim. Determined to prove Cassie is innocent, she sets out alone to track her down. As the teens move toward a dangerous showdown, they soon find themselves face to face with the highly armed kidnappers. Hopefully the Feds and mom arrive in time to save them.
