Plot Synopsis

Teenager Sophie Parker travels to Moscow on her spring break with best friend Janie Hillman, daughter of the American Ambassador. During a boring embassy cocktail party, they sneak out to a nightclub, eluding their bodyguard, Nadia, a CIA agent assigned to watch them. They arranged to meet a boy named Bobby at the club, but, unbeknownst to them, Bobby works for a sex-trafficking organization and they are soon drugged and abducted. When Sophie's widowed mother, a tough NYPD detective, gets an alarming and mysterious call from Sophie's cell-phone, she suspects the worst and takes the next plane to Russia. She eventually teams up with Nadia to rescue her daughter, who has already been sold and is about to be put on a plane to her new home.
