Plot Synopsis

Based on the book by Garrison Keillor and Jenny Lind Nisson. In a small town in Wisconsin an eccentric dairy farmer, who longs to be an orchestra conductor, along with his pianist wife and violinist teenage daughter, turn the community upside down when he plans to present a classical concert at the annual Dairy Days. His wife is convinced the townspeople will laugh him out of the bandstand. He books an orchestra and a prestigious conductor but finds himself fulfilling his dream when the conductor drops out.
